At the Why Not Inn we are firmly committed to providing the best food that the Midlands has to offer. We provide separate breakfast, lunch and dinner menus based on seasonal local produce. We do not use any mass produced meals or portion control regime. Let us serve you a real taste of the countryside in our welcoming and friendly pub, which also offers a choice of wines, beers and guest ales to discerning customers.
Our resident chefs have been involved in the trade for many years and accumulated a host of experience in that time.
We have two chefs - Tony (our landlord) and Paul are both highly experienced and take a professional approach to their work. They are used to the highest standards and also value the friendly atmosphere we create. Having worked in environments across the United Kingdom, they have an eye for serving hearty food based on the local produce available in the area.
As well as serving food in our countryside pub, we have also laid on outside catering. With events having included a wedding with 120 guests we are available for hire if your event needs a caterer with the skills to light up your day.
The Why Not Inn has a name which reflects its role in the fabric of the local community.
The pub is named after the horse who won the 1894 Grand National and attracts many regulars from across the area, from Redditch to Crabbs Cross. We also welcome office parties, who in particular enjoy our Christmas menu which is available throughout December. During the winter many customers also enjoy our roaring open fire.
We offer a warm welcome to all in our establishment. We pride ourselves on the intimate feel of our family run pub and trust that the care and passion we put into our food will be reflected by your enjoyment of a hearty and satisfying meal.
As members of the BII we are dedicated to providing high standards and promoting social responsibility.
Our pub welcomes responsible drinkers who enjoy relaxing in pleasant surroundings. We encourage a friendly atmosphere and are very happy to allow groups and families to enjoy our facilities.
We host regular quiz nights on bank holiday weekends and also have barbecues on the August bank holiday. Our pub and restaurant hosts a variety of events throughout the year, and picture of these can be found on this website.
